A twenty-six year old man is to be extradited to Spain from Portugal following an extradition hearing regarding the murder of John George.
The suspect – who was detained in Portugal on Tuesday under and international arrest warrant – is due to be taken across the border in the next 10 days, after he is questioned by Portuguese officials in the city of Braga.
The suspect fled Spain after Mr George disappeared in December prompting an appeal for information about his whereabouts.
His body was found on 7th January after a widespread search in Alicante, where it was confirmed that he had suffered fatal gun and knife wounds.
