A British woman who was seriously injured in last weeks explosion in Murcia, has died, authorities have said.
In an update by investigators yesterday, they confirmed that a 56-year-old British resident, and a 37-year-old woman, understood to be the owner of the bar – succumbed to their injuries.
The deaths of the two women were announced a week after the blast at a bar in Lo Pagán.
Seventeen others sustained injuries during the explosion, which occurred while the bar was closed but the surrounding area was busy.
An investigation is ongoing, with early indications suggesting the explosion may be gas related.
