Francis Puig – the brother of former Valencian regional President Ximo Puig – is set to stand trial for alleged irregularities in financial grants from the Valencian and Catalan Governments.
The judge excluded subvention fraud charges, as the amount involved is below the required threshold.
Investigations were triggered following a complaint raised by Partido Popular.
Puig – who strongly denies any wrongdoing – has been ordered to pay bail exceeding one hundred and forty-seven thousand euros.
