A snap regional election has been called for Extremadura, after the regional President – Partido Popular’s María Guardiola – announced the collapse of the government over a failure to secure a budget agreement.
Guardiola has blamed both PSOE and Vox for the situation, emphasising the need for a budget to support the region’s economy.
The election is set for the 21st December, with the Assembly of Extremadura being dissolved today.
