A joint operation by Guardia Civil, Mossos d’Esquadra, and Portuguese Police has dismantled an international human trafficking network, rescuing eight South American women.
Three individuals, including the leaders of the operation from Portugal, have been arrested.
Simultaneous raids were carried out in Lleida, Tudela, Irun, and the Portuguese city of Faro, resulting in the seizure of three thousand eight hundred euros in cash, documentation, electronic devices, ammunition, and cannabis.
The detainees in Portugal also face charges related to illegal possession of firearms and drug trafficking.
