Spain has recorded its hottest summer yet, with average temperatures two point one degrees above the average.
During this summer, three heatwaves have been documented: two affecting the mainland and the Balearic Islands, with one taking place in the Canary Islands.
Overall, there were thirty-three days of extreme heat, making this summer the second hottest in terms of heatwave days, following twenty twenty-two.
